Sanjoy Chatterji
President and CEO
Sanjoy Chatterji is the President and CEO for Entomo. He brings over two decades of technology and management expertise to the company. As CEO, he provides the overall vision and strategy for the company. Before founding Entomo, Chatterji was Founder and President of the Trinetra Consulting Group, which worked with early stage growth companies in the areas of fund raising, business development, market and product strategy, and organizational development.
In the five years prior to Trinetra, Chatterji was Vice President of Software & Systems at Philips Electronics’ ATL Ultrasound Division (NYSE:PHG). He was a member of the turnaround team that revitalized and repositioned ATL (then a publicly traded company), boosting the market cap from $250 million to $800 million, resulting in an eventual acquisition by Philips.
Before joining Philips, Chatterji was Vice President Technology & Services at PowerOpen, a power PC market-development company. Prior to PowerOpen, Chatterji spent almost ten years at Sequoia Systems Inc., serving in a variety of functions, including Director Systems Software. He helped the company grow through an IPO and several years as a publicly traded company. During his tenure at Sequoia, Chatterji developed and brought to market several generations of fault-tolerant, symmetric multi-processing systems and received multiple patents in fault-tolerant and multi-processor architecture and design.
Sanjoy Chatterji previously served on the Computer Systems and Software Advisory Board of the Washington Technology Council for 7 years. He holds a Masters of Engineering in Computer and Systems Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a BS/MS in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani, India.
Suresh Kumar
Vice President of Engineering & Internet Operations
Suresh Kumar is the Vice President of Engineering & Internet Operations for Entomo. He brings more than two decades of technology product development and business experience to the company. Before joining Entomo, Kumar was Founder and President of Transaga Software, which developed and marketed Offline Transaction Processing technology that integrated applications for the extended enterprise.
Prior to founding Transaga, Kumar was Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering for Tactica Corporation, a developer of transactional middleware for mobile, remote and Internet transaction processing. He built the US and offshore engineering organizations and successfully brought enterprise level products to market in record time. Kumar was also responsible for Tactica’s product architecture and he designed and implemented database adapters, failure management and recovery components, system backup and communication modules as well as system monitoring tools.
Before joining Tactica, Kumar was Director of Engineering at PI Systems where he oversaw the architecture, development strategy and management of MobileWorks, a software framework for building mobile client/server applications.
Suresh Kumar holds a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas and a BE in Electrical Engineering from BITS Pilani, India. He holds several patents in transaction processing and computer graphics.
Sherry Spencer
Controller
Sherry Spencer is the Controller for Entomo. She comes to the company with more than two decades of senior-level financial and accounting experience in industries ranging from consumer retail to electronics manufacturing and software development.
Before joining Entomo, Spencer was Controller for TeamOn Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of RIM (NASD:RIMM). At TeamOn, she was responsible for all accounting functions while managing employee stock options, health/dental/vision and profit sharing plans. Spencer managed the working relationship with inside and outside counsel and the purchaser’s finance department in support of the successful sale of TeamOn in August of 2002.
In the years prior to TeamOn, Spencer held key finance and accounting roles in a wide variety of companies, including Quintessent Communications, Video Only, Murphy & McGowan, Western Marine Electronics, and Wescot Company & Wescot International.
Sherry Spencer holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting/Finance from Central Washington University.
