Senior IT Operations Engineer, Internet Operations

Job Description:
The successful candidate will be a hands-on technical manager for our Network Operation Center, responsible for 24x7 mission critical application availability. He/She will be maintaining and supporting mission critical high-performance infrastructure at the Data Center, and working with other groups to ensure our application availability, reliability and performance. The ideal candidate is also responsible for planning, acquiring and operating Entomo’s Corporate IT infrastructure such as computer systems, applications, networks and telecommunication equipments. He/She will need to have deep knowledge and hands-on experience in networking, database management, network security and Linux/Unix/Windows system administration.

Requirements:

• 5+ years working experience with Unix/Linux, Oracle, Cisco networking hardware, firewalls and internet security.
  
• The candidate should have prior demonstrated experience as a lead technologist for a 24x7 mission critical data center operation.
  
• He/She should have proven experience with planning, operation management, 24x7 service methodologies and Internet technologies.
  
• 1-2 years experience in managing the IT department of a fast growing company.
  
• At least 3-6 years experience as a senior IT engineer with Unix/Windows operating systems and networking infrastructure experience.
  
• Hands on manager with very strong technical skills in Unix/Windows environment.
  
• Provide strong leadership in a fast paced environment to a team of IT specialists.
  
• Able to work with other departments in creating solutions that meet their IT requirements.
  
• Good communication skills and a good team player.

Education: BS (MS Preferred) in CS/EE
