QA Lead Engineer

Job Description:
Experienced QA Lead Engineer and/or hands-on QA Manager to join the Engineering team in assuring quality of Entomo’s software products. You will review functional specifications to determine test requirements for new features; work with development engineers to create and review test specifications; set up and execute system, stress, functional, and interoperability testing; maintain and enhance existing test harnesses and implement new ones as needed; help drive product and test requirements for improved diagnostics, and work with development group on analysis of code hotspots, test coverage, and defect discovery and resolution. You will write test plans, lead test development activities, and manage and mentor individual contributors and teams distributed over multiple geographical locations.

Requirements:

• 5+ years within test, focused on leading test efforts and shipping products
  
• At least 4+ years in writing test plans, developing tests and executing tests
  
• At least 2+ years working with test automation, off-the-shelf test automation tools especially for Web based applications
  
• 5+ years experience in working with either Windows or UNIX, preferably both
  
• 1+ years experience in Java, C++ or OOP
  
• 1+ years working with databases (Oracle or MySQL)
  
• Thorough knowledge of software development life cycle and QA methodologies and techniques
  
• Familiarity with software build environments and shell scripts a plus
  
• Ability to learn quickly and leverage new knowledge
  
• Experience leading distributed QA teams in multiple geographical locations

Education: BS in CS/EE or related engineering discipline
